Stuck on install configuration, worker AIM role?

Hi
Please bare with me, i'm new to AWS. Any complicated tasks or config i pass on to our expert.
I'm following the install guides, but it's not clear on AIM Roles.
On the account config part, I only have one account so far "Default Backup Restore", i'm presuming i also need a Worker AIM role in there? Is there a guide to creating this?

So far, i've added the appliance to my test VBR server with the plugin, i can setup the backups, it can see my test instances etc, it just fails on the VBA worker checks.

Hi Mark, the "Default Backup Restore" one can be used for everything normally. If you want to create a custom one, you can follow this KB.

I was hoping this, so we used it for the Worker. We tried using the default but when you click Test FLR is fails with an SSM error.

SSM is unreachable, bla bla Error during ssm request.

We get a similar SSM error when setting up a new job and during the optional final check.

SSM is used for integration with VSS or via scripts. We mostly rely on AWS here, have a look at the list provided in this topic. We will look into improving this in our user guide.

The FLR test is now working. My Worker was accidentally configured to the wrong subnet. Sorry!
