Azure Storage Settings

Post by VictorC »

Does anyone have a recommended configuration for setting up an Azure storage account as a Scale out Repository for Weekly, Monthly, Yearly backups on our Veeam B & R v10?

Do you recommend HOT vs COOL vs ARCHIVE tiers?

We would probably do 1-5 restores from this repository a year.

I am trying to get the most cost effective setup.

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.

You should stick to Hot Tier for most of your backups. Cool Tier is only good for long term storage of GFS backups, otherwise it gets too expensive.
Archive Tier is not supported yet, as it is functionally very different from the previous two...
