Restore VBR backup to Azure

Post by b.vanhaastrecht »

Hello,

Backups from VBA can be read by VBR. I can't seem to find if the other way also should work. Have put VBR backups in VBA repository, but there seems to be no options in VBA to rescan or import those VBR backups.

Regards,
Bastiaan

That currently is not an option. You can deploy VBR in Azure and restore from the blob container into an Azure VM.

VBA & VBR Cloud tier are currently separate locations. Meaning VBA writes into a blob container and then VBR can mount at a External repo. But VBR writes to a container in an object repo in SoBR

Ok thanks.

When we initiate a restore from VBR Azure container from an Onprem VBR, but with a VBR proxy in Azure would the restore speed be the same as a VBR in Azure?

Yes. If the helper appliance is being used the data flows from the container to it and into azure.
