When I try to connect our backup appliance to an already existing server in Azure I get "Failed to validate connection. Failed to retrieve Virtual Machine Public IP"
If I try to create a new one and let it deploy the Azure appliance for me, I cannot continue past the enter public ip portion.
So we don't use public ip's since we are peering on-prem. So how do I get this configure without a public ip? Or is this possible?

Re: Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure Appliance Error
You can deploy the appliance temporarily with a public IP and then block it/remove it later on. This should work without issues.
Full private IP deployment is part of the upcoming v4 release.
