Post by Pagrossman »

Hello,

we are talking about increase our license for VBO, but during this we detected that all our VBO servers and all Exchange backup jobs decreased their speed from 64 threads to 1 thread.
We can't back it up with any evidence, but the results are very similar as a results from our first testing where we tested the number of threads.

All servers decreased the speed at the same time.
This is only general question. We didn't create support ticket.

Is it possible that the lack of licenses can cause this behavior?

Best regards,

Jan

Hi Jan

No. Lack of licenses doesn't reduce the threads to 1.
Objects which are already license will be backed up normally. Only newer objects will not be backed up if they are out of the exceeded license range (10 user or 10% of your licenses, whichever is greater).

Do you see any throttling in the VB365 debug logs?
Our support will be able to help you understand what happened based on the log files.
Please provide us with the case number if you open a case.

Thanks
