Backup Hybrid Organization

Hello,

how do I have to setup VB for M365 to backup a hybrid environment without the need to backup any local data. So, we have a few cloud mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint data in the Microsoft cloud and we want to have a local backup. The local part of the byrid environment (Exchange 2016) is part of the local Veeam backup.

So, do I have to choose "Microsoft 365" or "Hybrid enviroment" in the configuration wizard?

Hi RH

You can configure the organization as "Microsoft 365".
If you want to protect local data later, you can change the organization to Hybrid at any time.

One question, are you using Exchange Online Archives for On-Premise Users?
