Backup Job: Backup Entire Organisation

Post by HiHoItsOffToWorkWeGo »

Within Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 it is only at the organisation level that Exchange or Sharepoint backup types can be specified.

I want to use "Backup Job: Backup Entire Organisation" as it includes everything of that type.

I want to backup Exchange Online to one repository,
and I want to backup Teams and Sharepoint Online and Onedrive to a second repository.

The only way to do this would be to have two organisations, one configured for "Exchange", the other configured for "SharePoint" and have a different "Backup Job: Backup Entire Organisation" in each.

However Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 doesn't permit the same organisation to be specified twice, even with different names and the same tenant ID.

Is the only way to do this to have two Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 servers?
One with the organisation configured for "Exchange Only"
The other with the organisation configured for "SharePoint Only"?
(unfortunately with Exchange Online de-selected, Teams can no longer be backed up)

Hello

That‘s doable with a single organization.
Choose „Back up the following objects“ and add Organization. Use the edit button to decide what type of source to backup. It‘s similar to entire organization, but only protects the chosen service.
