Backup Job Segmentation
Hello!
A customer need to protect the different data on O365 with multiple SLA, example:
1) Exchange On Line: Retain all data forever
2) One Drive: Retain all data for 30 days
3) SharePoint: Retain all sites for 30 days
4) Team: Retain all data for 30 days
5) All jobs need to detect automatically the in/out of users/disks/sites and teams to avoid missconfiguration or forgetness.
So, i'm searching how can i configure these multilples rules in the VO365. Any sugestion ?

Re: Backup Job Segmentation
Hi Diogo,
For example, this could be achieved with two different repositories, one with the 'keep forever' retention and another one with item-level 30 days.
Next, for each type of data, you can create a job with the entire organization scope (in the wizard, select Backup the following objects -> Organization) and the required data set selected (Edit processing options -> select mail, teams, etc). Mail job should be targeted at the 'keep forever' repository and all other jobs would be pointed to the 30-days repository.
Makes sense?

Hi Polina! Makes all sense!
Two last doubts:
1) There is one job with all emails already synced to the repository Keep Forever. Can i change this jobs to the specified configuration method whitout loss all the already data synced ?
2)What is the difference between the Mail and Archive objects in the Veeam Wizard ?

1) Yes, it's safe. Existing backups will remain in the repository.
2) A user can have a primary mailbox and an archive mailbox, and you can choose which of those you want to protect.

Re: Backup Job Segmentation
Hello,
Now we are 04 jobs ( Mail/Archive, One Drive, Sites, Teams ).
The Teams Job finished with some of this alerts. Why some Teams Objects are being processed by the "Sites" job ?
13/01/2021 12:07:36 :: Processing site XXXXXX finished with warning: Site https://XXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/XXXXXX is already being processed by another job
13/01/2021 13:40:23 :: Processing team XXXXXXX finished with warning: Processing site XXXXX finished with warning: Site https://XXXXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/XXXXXX is already being processed by another job

Re: Backup Job Segmentation
Hi Diogo,
Each team has a site associated with it to store files and folders in its document library, and Veeam protects it as part of Teams backup.
To avoid warnings, you can either run SharePoint and Teams jobs at a different time so that they don't overlap or exclude team sites from your SharePoint backup.
Thanks!

Re: Backup Job Segmentation
Thank you so mich, again.
One more thing: Is there a limitation to restore "channels" with the Veeam Explorer for Teeam ? I can't see the channels manually created in the Teeams, only the General channel, when i open the Veeam Explorer.

Only private channels are not supported, all the rest should be protected. If you have the opposite, please open a ticket with support and post it's ID here.
Thanks!
Thanks!
