Backup of Microsoft Office 365 backend
What do we need to use to backup the Microsoft Office 365 backend, eg Azure AD, Intune, Sharepoint, Applications etc accounts, configurations, policies etc?

Re: VBO Configuration DB Backup
Hello @Eldah,
moved your post to the existing thread. I would say to back up VBO configuration with all policies you can try the approach suggested by Fabian here.
Thanks!
upd. splitted the posts back, seems to be a misunderstanding

Re: VBO Configuration DB Backup
@Eldah,
Your question is a bit different I think then the answer to this thread. There is no such functionality in VB365. We backup the data and certain settings such as Teams settings but configurations/ policies etc. of Microsoft 365 we don't protect at this point in time

Re: Backup of Microsoft Office 365 backend
Thanks Mike. That is what I had concluded from my searching, but hoped I had not found what I was looking for.
Microsoft's answer appears to be to use Microsoft 365 DSC or powershell.
Quest have a product that appears to do what I am looking for: https://www.quest.com/products/on-demand-recovery/

Re: Backup of Microsoft Office 365 backend
Hello @Mike Resseller,
Backup of EntraAD objects, enterprise Applications, etc. and Intune objects, configurations and policies is a big omission from your portfolio. Its a big omission from Microsoft's portfolio too, if they want a full Cloud adoption since nobody in their right mind will migrate to a full cloud AD solution without a backup to their domain! The only solution currently is to run a Domain controller in a VM, or on-Prem, to mitigate a single point of failure switching off the lights in a company!
Further, the amount of time and effort invested in configuring the MS Entra and Intune environments, means that with no fallback, some orgs could be looking at months if not longer to recover form a disaster.
As a On-Prem B&R and a VDC customer I hope Veaam will seriously look into developing solutions for these critical parts of running infrastructure in the cloud.
regards
