Good Day
As MS will disable legacy protocol in january 2023, i made a test to use only modern authentication for Backup. This also means that backup accounts are not supported anymore (as far as i understood the infos in the veeam helpcenter). in the test i see a huge performance degration. All Jobs were running many hours more than when using legacy auth with several backup accounts.
Is there any way to gain the same performance with modern auth as we have with legacy auth and several backup accounts?
Thanks

Re: Backup Performance Modern Auth only
Hi Andre
You may try backup applications. I cannot promise if it's the "same performance" as before.
They are similar to backup accounts but are only used for modern auth only organizations:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=60
Just as Note, don't use too many of them. Start with a small number and monitor your backup jobs.
If you still see a really slow performance, please open a case with our support team and let them confirm from the logs why there are slow.
Thanks
Fabian
