Backup Repository Question
I'm trying to setup Veeam Backup for Office 365. I have Veeam backing up the VMs to a Internal and External Drive on one of the Hyper-V host. How do I add the Backup drives to the Veeam Backup for Office. I'm unable to add the host as a proxy. Should I share a folder from each drive and then map it to Veeam?

Re: Backup Repository Question
Hello,
Nothing should be installed on a Hyper-V host. That's a general best practice.
Best regards,
Hannes
Which "Veeam"? Which product are you using (that I can move the question to the right forum)? Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Agent for Windows? Where is the Veeam software installed?I have Veeam backing up

can you maybe explain a little bit more? What do you want to back up where? The VBO server should back up to VM disks (virtual disks). Then Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Agent for Windows can back up the virtual VBO server to another locationHow do I add the Backup drives to the Veeam Backup for Office
Best regards,

Re: Backup Repository Question
JTC12,
Using the same repositories as in VBR is not possible. VBO uses either a Jet DB as a repository, or object storage. The reason is that VBO does application protection and VBR does image-based backup. In the helpcenter you will be able to see what types of storage you can attach to a VBO server, but preferred is local storage (in the case of a Jet DB repository). If you are running VBO as a VM, you can easily create a new VHDX and attach that to the VM
Hope it helps
Mike

Re: Backup Repository Question
Thanks for the input. I added a VHDX to my backup server and created the VBO job there. The backup server has a VBR Backup setup.
