Current configuration is as follows:
I have one backup job containing all but one large SharePoint site to an object storage repository (Wasabi). I'd like to add this large site to the existing backup job but know that it will take around a week for that first backup to complete. Whilst this job runs all other sites in the job will go unprotected and I don't want this to be the case.
Could I create a new dedicated job for this specific site pointing to the same repository as the main multi-site backup job? Once this first job has completed, delete the "one-time" job and then add the site to the main SharePoint backup job. Would Veeam recognise the fact that the data is already there and it would then become an incremental or would this data become "orphaned" when I delete the job?
Hopefully that makes sense. I can clarify further if needed.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Backup single SharePoint site to same repository as multi-site job
Hi David
Yes, this will work. I had todo it myself once for the exact same reason.
Veeam will not download the entire Sharepoint site again. But the first run could take a little longer because the job must scan the entire site and check which content is already in the backup repository. But it will be incremental.
Thanks
Fabian
