Best practice - backups during restore operations
Just looking for opinions on this. If you're restoring a large amount of content - e.g. a full mailbox or a full SP site - should backups on the resource be paused? Can there be inconsistencies or errors introduced by backing up a site that's currently being restored into? Or backing up a resource into a repository that's being used as source for a restore?

Hi OzFenric,
Yes, imho the job that contains that data might be best paused because if you restore sites (or anything else), those sites will be seen as "new" and while they are being added during a run, they could be downloaded again as new information.

I'd also add that running M365 backups and massive restores simultaneously increases throttling risks, and throttling can slow down both processes.
