Hi.
I have a sharepoint / onedrive backup job set with 3 years retention - Item level backup.
I now see that files older that 3 years are not backuped - even the last version of the file, so I have many sharepoint sites missing files.
I hope I don't have to run the backup again with longer retention - or as snapshot based backup.
If I change the retention to 10 years - will the next run of the backup job then backup the files that are older that 3 years or will the new retention only apply to backup from now?
Regards

Re: Change backup retention
If u change the retention, those files will be backed up. Item level backup looks at the modification date so if they haven't been touched for 3 years, they will be out of the scope.
Could it be the latest version of those files is older than 3 years? If not, it may be good to get some more insight via support.
