Community does not restore the entire sharepoint library
Hello,
I'm quite scared. I have entrusted the backup of my small Office 365 tenant in the tool.
I needed to restore a lost file and I didn't find it in the last Veeam backup (I'm doing a full backup of the tenant) - I used Veeam Explorer.
So, I asked to recover the entire sharepoint library (which has more than 1800 files) (tested in a new library and to a zip file), but only 386 were recovered, as shown in the image below.
My question is whether this is a limitation of the community version or a failure of the tool.
Thank you very much in advance
using version: 4.0.0.2516

Re: Community does not restore the entire sharepoint library
There is no limitation on the community edition on restores but there is a limit on the amount of data that can be backed up for SharePoint (maximum 1TB).
It either means you have passed this limit or there may be something wrong with your retention settings. How big is your SharePoint site in terms of total data?

Re: Community does not restore the entire sharepoint library
Hi,
I have only 5.8G of data (print: https://ibb.co/fYWGsyg)
It is also strange that Veeam Explorer does not list all files (lists all folders, but not all files are there)

What is the current retention setting on your repository and how is it configured (item-level or snapshot-based)?

Re: Community does not restore the entire sharepoint library
Item-level means we will back up items which have been modified within now and a year ago. If there are items on the site which are older, they won't be in the backup and it may explain why you only see 386 items compared to the full list. In this case, it would be better to increase the retention duration to more years (or forever) or switch the retention in general to Snapshot-based.
