Hello,
We are currently backing up 365 data to an Amazon S3 bucket. Our Veeam 365 server is hosted in our on premise environment, and we have a site-to-site VPN between it and our AWS VPCs. We want to set up a S3 Glacier bucket for Backup Copy to offload old data into. When going through the S3 Glacier repo setup, there is a section in the wizard for choosing your proxy server and deploying an archiver appliance. Is there any way to set this up within a private network? The archiver appliance asks to set the public IP of the proxy server, but we're trying to avoid that since we already have a private site to site set up. Can I just deploy a second proxy in AWS and skip the appliance setup entirely? Unsure on how to proceed. Thanks.

Re: Confusion between Proxy Server and Amazon Archiver Appliance
Hi Mike,
Working via private networks is not yet possible for appliances. Deploying a second proxy will not help either, because you have to work with a single proxy. Your backup copies go to a repository associated with the same proxy that works with the corresponding primary repository.
Thanks!

Re: Confusion between Proxy Server and Amazon Archiver Appliance
Thanks, got it. We will work on setting up a new VPC and subnet for use with public addresses.
