Creating a Proxy server times out
I'm fiddling around with getting my backups into Azure for offsite storage, and have am having an issue creating a VBO Proxy.
On-Prem I have a B&R server with VBO also installed. In Azure I have setup another B&R server, and I have a backup copy job running OK.
I tried to use the VBO Console to create a Proxy on the Azure B&R server, and it all runs fine until it gets to configuring the Proxy when I get the error:
09/11/2017 16:32:43 :: Configure proxy. Error: The open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:00:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. :: 0:01:03
I've hit retry a few times, and it's always the same. After 1m3s it times out. Is there anything I can do to extend the timeout?
Alternatively I'm open to ideas if there's a better way to get my mailbox backups into Azure (in addition to having a copy on-prem).

Are the necessary firewall ports open between VBO and the VM in Azure that holds the proxy?

Full port list is available in our userguide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=15
Can you doublecheck if these are open as Mike requested?

Thanks - I added the Windows Firewall rules for those ports and the proxy is now setup.

After all that, I can't create a second job that includes all mailboxes. So it looks like I'll need to get B&R to do a File Copy job to get the files offsite instead.

Pmansfield,
I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean with secondary job? There is no secondary job in VBO. If you want to follow the 3-2-1 rule you best protect the VM (VBO and/or proxy) and do a backup to a VBR repository
