Data in Repo / GUI Cannot find?

Post by Sweemz »

Hi All,

I've a nice simple OneDrive data restore request..
The only problem is VBO365 cannot find the user via the GUI/Wizard.

So I fire up PowerShell and query to see if the user account is licensed , it is.

I then query the specific user in the dedicated OneDrive data repo and it tells me that the users data is backed up. So why can't the GUI find it?

If anybody is able to point me in the right direction I will be grateful.

I'm running VBO365 v6.0.0.379

Thank you.

Hi Jamie,

This is hard to tell via the forums and looks like a technical issue for which you should contact our support team. Please open a case and let us know the case ID for future reference.

Thanks!

Hi Jamie

Do you have removed the user in the M365 tenant or from the backup job? If yes, then you have to start the restore with right click on the organization. When you start the restore with right click on the backup job, removed M365 accounts will not be listed.

If you still not be able to see, follow Niels recommendation for a support case.

Thanks

Fabian/Neils thank you both for responding.

Fabians response has resolved this query!
The user in question has left the business (no longer licensed on 365 / not in the configured security group for that business) and as such has fallen out of the scope of VBO365 backups.

Thank you for educating me.
