Has anyone setup dedicated Rest API / Restore portal on a Separate Machine and got them working? I followed https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=60 and still not able to get it working.
Question: when you enable REST API and Restore Portal on Separate Machine do you need to enable Rest API and Restor Portal setting in the main O365 server at all? Can't really find a good end to end setup for O365 multitenant backup setup with dedicated Restful API server. Anyone got any good links?
Some of the errors while I try the connect-VB365 script below:
-----------------------
WARNING: Unable to acquire token for tenant 'organizations' with error 'An error occurred while sending the request.'
Connect-VB365RestorePortal : An issue occurred while logging into Microsoft. Please double-check your credentials and ensure you have sufficient access.

Re: Dedicated Rest API / Restore portal on a Separate Machine
Hi Mathew
Looks like our support was able to solve the issues and the portal works now.
Are there any questions left from your site which I can answer?
https://github.com/VeeamHub/powershell/ ... ortalSetup
And there is a blog article with a short video from Anthony:

Thanks
Fabian

My colleague @chris.arceneaux has created scripts to configure a multi-tenant Restore Portal. Can't really find a good end to end setup for O365 multitenant backup setup with dedicated Restful API server. Anyone got any good links

Re: Dedicated Rest API / Restore portal on a Separate Machine
Yeah support could make it work all in One server only.. dedicated restore portal on separate machine was not quiet working also Support used same certs everywhere to make it working which I don't think is a best practice. I could make it working on my home lab with different certs.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Dedicated Rest API / Restore portal on a Separate Machine
Hi Mathew
Thanks for the update.
If the goal is to have a working solution with a dedicated Restore Portal server, I suggest keep working with our support team.
You should be able to create a new Azure AD application cert for the restore portal application within the VB365 restore portal configuration. After you have created the cert, you can add it in the Azure-AD admin center as a new authentication certificate.
The other certs (tenant auth, restore operator auth) can also be recreated within the VB365 console. If you use self-signed certs for the restore operators, you have to import them on the dedicated restore portal server into trusted root certs.
Thanks
Fabian
