Default backup Proxy is offline

Hello ,

2 days ago i implement VBO in the same server(Esxi host) i have VBR .Everything worked fine , created some office 365 backup jobs and restores succesfully but yesterday i had a problem with my storage that runned out off disk space and Veeam server was inaccesible .
I tried to move some vms to another host , delete veeams server snapshots and when i run the consolidation to the disk and had some space to start the machine,I came with this problem.
VBO Backup proxy shows offline and the options rescan and upgrade cannot repair the problem.Also the options edit-remove-properties are unavailable - greyed out.
If i try to create a new backup repository , backup proxy shows Offline too.
Any ideas what can i do to resolve this ?

Best would be to contact Veeam support here for help as this sounds a combination of things going wrong with this as a result. Insight in logs will help here so please open up a case and let us know the support case ID for future reference.

Is the Veeam.Archiver.Proxy service running?

yes it is running and i have rebooted server several times and i checked all the services .

Please let the support engineers investigate your logs to find the root cause. Your case ID in this thread would be much appreciated.

Hello all ,
The ticket is Case # 03990333 , but i found the way to repair it.
I disabled all 3 services that VB0365 creates and i renamed the folder Backup365 to old_backup365 from the location C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup365 .
I open the console , place all the required settings again and it is working fine .

Hi!

I had the same problem and I managed to solve it with the activation of IPV6

I also recommend that you make sure you have .NET version 8 or higher installed, as well as Powershell version 7.4 or higher.

Hi Carlos

This is a rather old topic (4.5 years). Your solution may only be valid for Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 v8. Also, please note that older versions of VB365 do not use .NET version 8 or PowerShell version 7.4.

Your situation doesn't have to be the same cause just because it looks like the same error as in previous posts. Therefore, we strongly recommend contacting our customer support team to confirm the issue, instead of applying "solution steps" from other users. In rare cases, it could make things worse.
