E-Mail Notification OAUTH2

Good Day

As MS is disabling Basic Authentication in October, i want to ask if email notification in VBM365 and also in other Products are able to use OAUTH2 for Authentication to send Email ? Not sure about the infos i have found so far.

Hi Andre

Thanks for the question. For now, Veeam needs Basic Authentication to send mails over SMTP. My current information is, that Basic Authentication will be disabled, except for SMTP. You will still be able to use Basic Auth for SMTP after October 2022, if Microsoft doesn't change their plans.

Thanks for the information. Nevertheless i guess veeam will support OATH2 for SMTP in one of the next releases as well...
