Email notification in Chinese! Why?

After installing the product, it seems to work just fine, except the email notifications are in Chinese, on a US server. Why?
The user interface is English, everything about this is English, except both the notification emails and the "test emails"...

Any idea how to make Veeam send English?

same problem here after upgrading to V2. How did you solve this problem? Header is in english, content looks chinese:

First, Stefan, welcome to our forums!

Second: I have a feeling it will have to do with encoding and that you have a different encoding and we might not be able to handle it properly. Can you both please create a support call, post the case ID here and afterwards what our engineers have told you. I think this needs to be investigated further so we can find out what is happening in the backend. (And we will need the logs for that )

There is a mismatch with encoding in VBO and SMTP-server.

Though you can add On-Prem Exchange 2016 (to send the emails) to the list of affected systems, and the use of Apple Mail as MUAs that cannot read it.
Weirdly iOS 11.3 is fine, macOS 10.13.6 not so much.
