Hello,
In my opinion, it's a big security leak, certainly in times of GDPR, that we can just access peoples personal files on onedrive and restore them to where we want, without any notifications.
Same goes for the backup of sharepoint. You can setup security in Office 365, for example, files only Management has access to, so not even Global Administrators can access these files, but if you back them up with Veeam Backup for Office 365, you can just save those files without anyone knowing.
If files are restored, there should be an email that file or folder X has been restored to location Y.
This seems like a feature which is easy to implement, smtp settings can already be configured, just add the posibilty to send notifications on file/folder restore.

Re: [Feature Request] Email notifications on file restore
Welcome to Veeam forums, Arne!
The FR is noted, thank you for your feedback.
And, as for now, to address the data control requirements, it might be handy for you to use extended logging provided in v2. While it's not alerting you immediately each time an item is restored, it allows you to export detailed logs on all the VBO events, including even item preview via Veeam Explorers.

Re: [Feature Request] Email notifications on file restore
Hello Polina,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, but still, it requires us to manually go in the software and download the logs. If the logs could be transferred automatically on a schedule, that would also be fine, but even that option isn't available.
