Error: Cannot find Web URL with bot
We do a daily backup of our Office 365 E5 subscription – mailboxes, OneDrive, etc.
Everything runs smoothly, apart from one object of type “Web” which always reports status as Error because it is not found or off-line:
http://bot187388-001/sites/dbea916a-8e0 ... 5c69b5cf90
Where can I locate this bot? It is probably a remain of some Azure, SharePoint, or Power-something test, I’ve made, but I’ve forgotten all about it.
However, since Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 (version 5 updated) can find it, it must be listed somewhere, but where?

Hi Gustav
Have you tried Azure Bot Services?
https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microso ... otServices
The URL looks like a Bot Services was used.
You could try to ask the same question in Microsoft Community Forums. Probably you will get a better answer there.

Yes I have. Nothing listed there.
Our Azure SQL databases I can find, but that's it.

I think you should be able to find all sites in the sharepoint online admin center. Please check also if it was not a renamed site with a URL redirect on it

The URL doesn't look like it's owned by his tenant. http://bot187388-001/sites
Do you get this site when you use SPO Online Powershell and the command GET-SPOSite?
You can try to ask Microsoft directly (Online Support)
I'm sure they can tell you what exactly that is and how you can get rid of it.

Can you remove it from there? If you don't need it, try to remove it.

Re: Error: Cannot find Web URL with bot
Good question. I tried, but that failed:
Remove-SPOSite : URL address bot187388-001 does not refer to a domain at this tenant.
which seems correct, though it makes me wonder, how this bot has ended up in our house.

Thanks for trying.
Can you try Microsoft Online Support and let us know, how they could resolve it?
You can try to exclude the URL in your backup job until you have an answer.
