Hello,
today, we detected that our backup job for exchange that usually runs between 10-20 minutes runs longer than 7 hours on one mailbox.
I asked the user why is his mailbox bigger for more than 30GB then yesterday.
He told me that he don't know and that he only remove some old mails today...
My question.. Please, how VBO (Exchange) works in terms of removing items in inbox (or folders) in Exchange (moving to the trash)?
If I remove 1000 mails -> items, will be these items only assigned to another folder in our Veeam repository? Or VBO will backup all 1000 items as new items in trash?
Thank you

Re: Exchange - A lot of changes without the reason
Hi Jan,
During backup, VBO requests the current state/changes for all the folders in a mailbox (including the Deleted folder). When some emails are moved to trash, VBO will mark these emails as 'deleted' in their original folder and will have to back up all 'new' items from your Deleted folder.
Thanks!
