Feature list

Post by uzae » 1 person likes this post

For many potential customers, it's no longer enough to say that Veeam 365 can back up Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, etc. They demand a detailed feature overview, just like other providers do. This leads to some discussions in the offer phase. Other manufacturers are much more transparent in this respect, which gives them an advantage.

How can Veeam support us on this topic so that we don't lose customers to other manufacturers?

A possible feature list using the example of Exchange Online: Primary Mailbox, Archive, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Folders, Folder-/User.Permissions, Public-Folder, Mail-Signature, etc.

Hi uzae,

In our case, it's easier to list what we do not support (see the Considerations and Limitations section in our HelpCenter). But if customers prefer to see a huge list of supported things, we can try to create it, of course. From your perspective, how detailed should it be? Should it only cover the supported types of data?

@uzae,

You can speak to the local Veeam Territory Manager to assist you in getting more information on the things supported by Veeam as well.

Moreover, this forum and https://community.veeam.com/ is a great place to start as the product & management team is also very helpful and responsive, combined with the Veeam Legends, Vanguard, and MvP too.

Thank you for your answer.

@Polina: Can you point me to the correct site? I was not able to find the Considerations and Limitations section :-(
By the way, I don't agree that it's easyier to list what's not supported as Microsoft 365 is growing week by week. Therefore the list must be managed weekly with huge effort. And I also think it's not clever from a sales perspective. Did you ever saw a "what's not working/included list" or decided based on such a negative list when you buy a car? 😬

@albertwt: My local Veeam Partner Manager pointed me to this forum to ask this question. I heard romurs that there exist internally such a list, but it's not available for partners
