Feature request: Ability to create Proxy server in Workgroup
Hi,
It was discovered through working with Support, that creating a Proxy server in a Workgroup environment is not supported. All attempts failed, even when attempting to create Proxy on save Hyper-V host as the VBO365 management server was installed. See this thread...

I, and many other small businesses, have no need for a domain so it would be a great feature to be able to add a Proxy in this type of environment.

Hi NashBrydges,
The same one answering here . Your feature request is noted! I can't exactly remember what the reason is for this not being able but I will ask the developers to look into it again
Cheers
Mike

Hello Mike,
Do you got any information from developers? This is really weird that on quite small installations we do need an MS AD.

Sirijus,
To be able to work without AD, we need to work with certificates to do the conversations. So it is not something that can be done pretty quickly. (I know the reason again ). When you say quite small installations, do you mean that you deploy this on-prem with your customers?
PS: Welcome to the forums!

Re: Feature request: Ability to create Proxy server in Workg
Hi,
By the meaning of "small" installation I wanted to tell that i mean only two proxy and one O365 server installed on provider site.
So whole solution consists of three vm's.
Thanks,
Sirijus

Understood. I can't promise anything at this moment, but I do understand very well we need to deliver this at a certain point in time. Certificates is OK with you?
