Feature Request: Adding/Removing Backup Users and Licensing

Post by godaddy4u »

My company often hires/fires people who have o365 mailboxes. From what I understand, there's no way to lower the license count when removing a user from backup besides re-initializing the db. This is a huge problem for me. I am changing the boxes that are backed up on a daily basis which means that I need to re-init the db everyday.

Please add a way to fix this automatically.

Thank you.

David,

The next product version will bring a way to revoke the unneeded user licenses without the need to way for 31 days. Is this what you're looking for?

Yes, we need a way to remove a user and the license to free up immediately.

I was not aware of a 31 day time period for the license to free up automatically.

I look forward to the new version, thank you.

In v2, if you don't back up any user's data for 31 days, their license becomes available for reuse and can be assigned to another user.
