[Feature Request] Granular Search Across Multiple Mailboxes in Veeam O365

Post by craigc137 »

We have several clients that have to fulfill open records requests weekly. Currently, they use GFI archiver, which sucks, Veeam O365 is nearly able to replace it, but lacks the search functionality to do so.

Need: We need Veeam O365 to allow for a search of O365 data across multiple mailboxes/users mail in Exchange and allow the data to be filtered by subject, data, sender, and recepient.

Use Case: Every municipality and organization that has to comply with open records requests and present emails for the request. Often compliance requirements require emails to not be deleted and kept for years, then be searched and provided in the open records requests. We need a storage location for those emails outside of O365 that can be searched using the above requirements in the Need statement. We work with five municipalities, and as compliance and auditing becomes more stringent, this is becoming more of a need.

Hi Craig,

If you back up O365 data with VBO, you can use its advanced search functionality to search for specific items within your backups. Isn't it what you're looking for?
