Feature Request: more scheduling options
Hi,
I did not found that feature request so far..
I'd like to have the same job scheduling options as in VBR
little comparison:
VBO:
- Daily at specific time at specific date (only one)
- periodically
VBR:
- daily at time (one time and multiple days or selected days only)
- monthly at this time ..
- periodically...
- after this job..
If I want to have a VBO Backup job that runs on Monday, Wednesday, Friday -> I have to create 3 jobs
If I want to have a VBO Backup job that runs once a month -> not possible via GUI
....
I hope it's understandable
Thanks.

Re: Feature Request: more scheduling options
Hello,
the request itself is understandable, but what are you trying to achieve?
The retention in VBO 2.0 works different than in VBR. No matter when you schedule, VBO will always store the data for the last <retention period>. This is different to VBR where you store "all data" (a snapshot) of the scheduled day.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Feature Request: more scheduling options
VBO v3 will add the same options as VBR in terms of retention so you'll be able to choose either backup style (VBR style) or archive style (VBO style as it is right now which means backup anything from now till the defined retention period, for example, 3 years). Also, have a look at the following topic veeam-backup-for-microsoft-office-365-f ... 56181.html for more discussion on this topic.

Re: Feature Request: more scheduling options
Hi Phillip,
From my perspective, adding more flexibility to the scheduling options makes sense. I'll add this to the list of potential enhancements for future VBO versions.
Thanks!
