Feature Request: Optimized / Indexed Search in SharePoint Explorer for Large Libraries

We would like to request a high-priority feature to improve search performance in Veeam Explorer for Microsoft 365, specifically for SharePoint libraries stored in object storage.

Currently, SharePoint Explorer performs linear scans of backup metadata, which causes extremely slow search performance for large libraries. Adding hardware or cache does not significantly improve this, and efficient search is essential for our operational needs.

Feature Request:

• Implement full-text indexing or an optimized search engine within SharePoint Explorer.

• Ensure compatibility and performance improvements when using object storage.

• Optionally, allow targeting searches to specific sites, libraries, or folders in a more intelligent way.

The lack of optimized search significantly impacts usability in large environments. We believe this feature would greatly enhance the product for enterprises relying on SharePoint backups at scale.

We appreciate any guidance on prioritizing this request and hope it can be considered for future releases.

Thank you for the request. It's actually already on our backlog for quite a while, and while it totally makes sense, I cannot confirm that we deliver search improvements any time soon.
