[Feature Request] SharePoint File Exclusions

I wanted to place a feature request in regards to VBO365.
Basically, I'm looking for a feature exactly like the "VM Guest OS File Exclusion" in VBR for SharePoint Online and OneDrive Online.

The specific scenario of that feature request is a customer situation, where a lot of "raw" data material is placed within OneDrive and SharePoint and only gets shared with different other companies and external employees. So these raw data files have not reached the "final it needs to be backed up state" and therefore should be excluded from the backup itself.

Are there already any plans on this ?

OneDrive does support exclusion of folders via -ExcludedOneDriveFolders in the Add-VBOJob cmdlet.

For SharePoint, this would be complex and very time-consuming and there are no plans for adding this at the moment.

Hi Niels,

thanks for the update ! I'm aware of the -ExcludedOneDriveFolders option, but it unfortunately works not on file level.
Maybe I can work around this to let place the files in a specific folder which then gets excluded.

But I imagine it is still a few times easier than the rocket science that was required to enable exclusions of individual files from an image-level backup, right?
We don't backup SharePoint on an "image-level" (like NDMP), do we? What we do is more close to a file-level backup, correct?
