Hi , I'm happy to see that we have now in Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 an implementation of a backup copy job from S3 to S3 cold store.
I would be happy to see an implementation of a Backup Copy job from disk repository to S3 so you can make the disk a repository a short term recent data repository and the S3 a long term cloud stored repository. As I see the access times of disk restore indexing and restore times are still much higher this will give most cases a quicker restore with in case needed a long term availability in S3
Thanks

Re: Feature Request: Backup copy job from disk based repository to S3 repository
Hi JWH,
Thank you for your request and feedback!
While we plan to continue investing in backup copy functionality, block-based repositories will remain out of the scope. With performance and scalability reasons in mind, object storage is seen as the way to go for further enhancements and new features.
I'm curious though to see some examples of restore times from block-based repositories vs object storage if you could share. From what I typically see, restores from Azure Blob or S3 compatible repositories are even faster than from local Jet-based sources.
Thanks!
