We are using the Veaam O365 appliance in azure and I don't seem to be able to find any info on the different options for DR on the appliance. I know we can snapshot the VM within azure I am also sure there are others ways to backup the appliance. Just trying to find more information on this.
Thanks in advance
John

Re: How to add resilience to an Azure appliance
Hi John
With our products, you can use Veeam Backup for Azure with Application Aware processing.
This will also protect jet db based repositories. For object storage based backup repositories, you can create a backup copy to Archive Object Storage. If you don't have Veeam Backup for Azure, you can use our Veeam Agent for Windows to backup the server.
Doing only a vm snapshot without leveraging VSS snapshots could lead to restore issues. Does a normal Azure Snapshot support VSS?
Azure VM Backup service does support VSS snapshot. That could also be a solution outside of veeam.
Thanks
Fabian
