Hi there, we don't have much experience with Veeam, we're just trying out the Office 365 backup. Before we commit to the product we'd like to learn more about it, and a great way to learn something is to break it!
In a lab (no production data), we're planning to test a failed VBO server, something like this:
1. Install VBO on a physical server with local storage, run a few backup jobs
2. Copy the VBO Backup Respository to another server (this could be a Veeam agent, or a script, or anything for this test)
3. Wipe the server, rebuild with the same OS (simulate worse case where VBO was not backed up or failed to restore)
4. Install VBO again w/same settings
5. Restore the Backup Repository, and add it to VBO
6. Test item restores, mailbox restores, etc.
Are there any specific details needed for #5, or any docs we should read. Thanks!

Re: How to restore VBO Backup Repository
Hi Marty,
If you back up the server with the Veeam Agent for Windows, you can just use that to recover the server (bare-metal restore).
However, if you just want to back up the server in other ways, I suggest you read the KB regarding "Moving to another server".
If you have any more questions, let me know.

Thanks Niels, I searched for something like that but missed it, that was very helpful.
