Hi Anuhar,

Not really an idea what is going on. I assume you reinstalled the explorers from the latest ISO so at least the versions are correct. Please keep working with support and give us an update of their findings.

Thanks
Mike
(PS: If you have enabled the self-service portal, you can test if you can do a restore from there

We are facing the same issue here. Some of our Repositories show the "Explorer" button greyed out. We have already openend a ticket with Veeam, since this seems to be a bug for me. Only certain Repositories are affected.

Hi All,

The issue with missing restore points might be related to a problem with repository indexing. Indexing is a background operation that was introduced in v8. It collects the information on restore points stored in a repository and saves it to PostgreSQL. In case of issues during the indexing process, the database could be missing data for existing restore points causing problems with exploring backups.

Please keep working with our support to confirm the root cause of the issues you see and get a fix as soon as it becomes available.

Thanks!

I'm facing the same issue while trying to restore/explore backups from before the upgrade. This is only affecting the jobs assigned to a remote proxy. Case # 07436260.

Finally the job finished, afther that i validate the restore directly of the GUI and the restore was sucessfully, however the restore point throght of powershell scripts not worked, and only is possible restore from the last restore point generated, the another restore points previus at the last one (octuber 10) not apper in the explorer, only apper calendar in white. i saw that Veeam launch a new versión update that fix some errors:

https://www.veeam.com/kb4106

The new version are 8.0.3.1044, so i applicated this new version, and fix the powershell scripts export, but i still the problem with the restores points that not apper, only the last one.

Could you help me somebody with this situacion. Also i waiting Veeam support responde.

Regards.

@FOXAHR,

Do you still have an open support case? Please provide these details and logs to our support engineers. RnD will run additional research to see why the issue is partly still there. Without that, unfortunately, it's not possible to provide you with any solution or hotfix.

Thanks!

One more thing, can you check if the repository with the data you want to restore is in an Unindexed state?

Today i recived the answer from support and they tell me that i execute this commands on powershell:

$repository = Get-VBORepository -Name "Your Repository Name"
Start-VBORepositoryIndexingSession -Repository $repository

And now i can see the olds restores points again.

Thanks.
