Hi,
I notice the number shown in "Items transferred" in my Veeam alert emails seems to be always larger than expected. I have daily backup set up for the SharePoint Online site. However, the fact every day it has 7,000 - 9,000 items transferred (which I assume means there are this many files changed for the past 24 hours) makes me wonder something else is going on because from the SharePoint site owner, the change should not be so much. Is there something I miss here?
Thank you.

Re: "Items transferred" count in alert email
Hi,
This is hard to tell without insight. How many sites are you backing up and what is the size of those? Is it just 1? We’ll need to find out some more details to potentially point out where it comes from.

Niels is correct,
Also, maybe you should look at that site and see who owns the items... Maybe there is an automated flow or something that modifies the files regularly.

Re: "Items transferred" count in alert email
Thanks. There is only one SharePoint Online site in the backup. I just notice the log file contains which files were changed. I will just have to do a diff to figure it out.
On a related note, I also notice alert email shows:
Success 0 Start time 2:00:01 AM Objects processed 0 of 1
Warning 1 End time 4:34:38 AM Items transferred 10186
Error 0 Duration 2:34:36 Data transferred 10.2 GB
But when I go to Veeam's console, it shows
Session status: Warning
Bottleneck: Source
Last backup: 3/17/2021 4:34 AM
Processing rate: 1.1 MB/s (0 items/s)
Read rate: 24.2 KB/s
Write rate: 916.3 KB/s
Duration: 02:35
Objects: 0 of 1
Transferred: 151.4 MB (201 items processed)
I think I am just confused which number I should trust. Any insight on this? Thanks.
