job interrupted - resend notification with with detailed report to check mailbox growth?

hello all,

i have yet another question... recently, after upgrading from 4c to 5b, my exchange backup job was interrupted since the server was shut down while the job was still running. looking at the interrupted job in the backup history, i can see that a lot more data has been backed up than usually (40gb/day vs >200gb/day). this led to the backup window of 9 hours not being enough. there's quite a buffer in those 9 hours, exchange backup jobs usually don't take more than 3 hours, if that. since the job was interrupted, no notification was sent. i like using the detailed reports from the notifications to check for mailbox growth and identify mailboxes that have grown unexpectedly.

is it possible to resend the notification with the detailed report for an interrupted job? alternatively, is it possible to pull a report from vbo, detailing mailbox growth from one backup job to the next?

Hi Lars,

I'm afraid that neither of the above is possible. You can review the text logs to see what mailboxes/items were processed until a job has been interrupted.
