License Exceeded but jobs running
I have a subscription License (VUL) for 290 users. Now 305 used. I got a message that says that "Your license consuption has been exceeding the license cap by 15 users for more than 1 month. To comply with your Veeam licensing contract, please obtain and install the license file for at least 15 users". It was on 01 September 2021, at 13:16:15.
According to https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=50
"If you exceed the license by more than 10 user accounts or more than 10% of the license count (whichever is greater) Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 allows you to process these 10 (or 10%) extra user accounts according to the FIFO queue logic (that is, "first in — first out"); no additional accounts are allowed. The grace period in this case is not limited and lasts during the whole term of the subscription."
I have exceed the license by more than 10 (exactly 15 so far), but I check my jobs every day and all appear to be completed.
My questions are:
Am I missing any backup?
When will it stop working? I am trying to undestand it...
How long do I have to obtain and install the license file please? I cannot miss any backup, but as I did not get any error I though the accounts over the limit were running according to to the FIFO queue logic, at least from 290 to 300...am I right?
Thank you in advance

1. No.
2. It will not stop working, you'll just keep getting messages like the above one once a week or so.
3. As long as you like, there's no time limit.
FIFO queue logic only kick in after you exceed license by more than 10%. You will get a different message when this happens. In you case, it will only apply once your job needs to process (290+29)+1 = 320th workload will fail to be processed until some of the earlier workloads are excluded from processing and have a license revoked from them.

Re: License Exceeded but jobs running
Thank you Gostev for the answers. I wish you´re right, but:
2- If it won´t stop working and I will just keep getting these messages....Why licenses are needed?...I think I am missunderstanding or missing something...
And within the helpcenter article is said ""If you exceed the license by more than 10 user accounts OR more than 10% of the license count (whichever is greater)... " so I understand that the most restrictive condition in my case is the first option, "more than 10 User accounts" so there would be 5 accounts that are not being backed...?¿?¿ as it is said "no additional accounts are allowed"
Thank you again

2. Licenses are needed because you don't have enough of them for the number of users you are protecting. It's like using a volume license to deploy more Windows Servers than you have licensed from Microsoft, for example - can be done, but eventually you are expected to "true up" and license as many servers as you have deployed.
So you will keep getting these messages because you are out of compliance with your Veeam license agreements - you are protecting significantly more workloads then you have licensed from Veeam, and doing this for an extended time. Normally, this means it is not a temporary fluctuation, and that most likely the number of users will not reduce back to your licensed limit. Thus, you should fix this situation by getting a bigger license.
10% of 290 is 29. 29 is greater than 10, so the greater number is used.
Thus, in your case the statement reads "If you exceed the license by more than 29".

Re: License Exceeded but jobs running
No worries! There's no rush, Veeam is actually not nearly as strict as Microsoft in terms of license enforcement - which is why we allow to exceed the license usage "officially" and indefinitely by quite a bit in the first place. However, we're obliged to notify customers about this on-going situation in the product, because some companies take license compliance extremely seriously.
