Our goal is to be able to back up Dynamics 365 "tenants" as we were used to doing in on-premise environments via Backup & Replication (Backup SQL Server and Dynamics virtual machines). It would be excellent if these backups could be restored to a local instance of Dynamics 365 and the associated database server.

Most of our customers is this year turning from Navision 2017 to BC and since Microsoft has a Shared Responsibility for the data we need to provide them backup..
Veeam is not on the ball for BC this year?

+1 - we had recently two customer who were requesting Dynamics 365 backup. As of Microsoft Shared Responsibility matrix the customer is responsible for the backup and so they are requesting it from us to do it.

As of now we will be manually exporting our production database to Azure container bacpac file and then downloading to OnPrem SQL 2022 server to import. This server is protected by Veeam.

This will be done monthly, initially. Will have to see how much we can automate before moving to weekly.
