Migration path from JET Database on NTFS Volume to S3 Repo?

Post by DaStivi »

Hi,
is there a migration path from the JET Database Storage Solution to S3 ?? i'd just saw that there is ah "Backup Copy" option if you've an S3 Repository, but also only if the "first" Repo is allready with an S3...

the main task would if you start small but notice after ah few years of dooing backup now, you'll have grown bigger in o365 and notice that getting to the limits of the JET Database... now i'd like to migrate to S3!
Simply creating another another S3 Backup Repo and "point" the job to the new Repo isn't the solution as you would have to hold the old JET Repo for the full retention period until everthing would be aged out to be able to restore files from before the S3 Repo change...
