Re: Move local database to another location
Hello Morad
We have a kb article on how to move backup repositories in VB365: https://www.veeam.com/kb2649
For moving the entire backup server, please use chapter "Migrate Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Server without an Object Storage Repository".
If you only need to move the repository to a new proxy server, follow this steps:
1) Remove the old repository in the VB365 console. --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70
This is important to close the open database connections to the repository files. If there are jobs pointed to that repository, disable them and point them to temporary repository while doing the migration.
2) Important: Manually copy the entire folder structure from the original repository to the new server
The following files/folders must be present in the root folder of the repository:
- Repository.sqlite
- Repository.xml
- Folders with year numbers which contain the database files
3) Add your new server as a proxy server. --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70
4) Add the copied folders (root folder) as a new repository --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70
5) Target the backup job to the new repository.
Best,
Fabian
