Good Day
For each of the Projects we have in our Company, we create a separate Team in MS Teams. It is then backed up with VBO. When the Project is finished, the Team is closed and the Data is moved to a separate "archive" site in Sharepoint.
What does happen to the Backup? Veeam does Backup this data again with the SPO Backup. But does it recognize that the data is already in the backup repo (as long as teams and spo backup using the same repo)? So that the data is not backed up twice?
Thanks

Re: Move Source data, what happens to Backup?
Andre,
It will indeed be protected again as part of the SharePoint job. The problem is that the data will be seen as completely different data because of the move.
The only thing you could do to avoid that is to exclude the specific site or specific site collection from the SharePoint backup job
