Moving VBO to new server/storage
I currently have VBO365 installed a physical server using an iSCSI-connected Synology for the storage. I've read the official way to do this of installing VBO365 on the new server, shutting down VBO365 on the old server, Robocopy-ing the files over, etc. Based on some preliminary tests, this is going to take several days. I'm wondering if it's possible to treat this like file server move by leaving VBO365 running, run Robocopy to move over the files it can over a period of days. When the first pass is complete, shut down VBO365 on the old server, run Robocopy again to pick up any new data and continue down the official path. Any thoughts if this is possible (or advised)?

Re: Moving VBO to new server/storage
Todd,
We have never tested this and since they are not files, but ADB databases, I fear that robocopy will have issues copying over the remaining data. I might have misunderstood it, but since you are using an iSCSI connection to the storage that holds the databases, might it not be more interesting to keep that data and reconnect the new server to the storage? Or are you going to use new storage?

Re: Moving VBO to new server/storage
Sorry, I wasn't clear. We're moving to new storage as well. If we were keeping the storage, this would be a piece of cake. I opened a case on this and basically got the same answer. I'm just shutting it down and copying the files, even if it takes several days.
