Object storage - what to choose
Hello.!
Im planning to start with backup of O365. I don't have local storage avaible, so the plan is to use Object Storage. Have done a test with Azure Blob as storage, and it looks like is working as planned. But with Object Storage, I see that there is multiple providers. Who vendors is preffered? I want the best security, with the lowest price of course

Hi Osonder,
Difficult question. First, what is the plan, use object storage on-premises or go with a cloud vendor?

You could say, if you don‘t want to have all data on one vendor, than backup your data from Microsoft to AWS.
If you have a requirement from the board to only use Microsoft, then stay on Azure Blob for your Backups.
A good plan would be to use another Tennant for that. Not the one with the productive data in it.

Mildur is correct and also gives you a good idea for Microsoft, although I don't mind having it in the same tenant. After all, Azure and M365 are completely separated as service within the Microsoft datacenters.
You can always deploy the service in Azure or AWS and (for example) look at Wasabi or IBM cloud for your storage. But at that point in time you have to take egress charges into account
