Office 365 Multi-Geo Support for SharePoint Sites

Hello,

In part, the KB regarding multi-geo support (https://www.veeam.com/kb3098) states that "For Multi-Geo tenants, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 supports SharePoint Online Personal sites and OneDrive for Business backups ...". Does this mean that normal SharePoint sites stored in a different geography from the main tenant location are not supported for backup?

We are a service provider in the APAC region and have a current global customer interested in knowing when further geo-location support will be available.
Is there any update as yet or a timeline for when we may see more support for geo-domains?

We are working on it. But I can't give a timeline yet as we ran into some issues with our own multi-geo subscription. We are working with Microsoft to solve this before we can continue to test the solution. Sorry about this

I work for a service provider and we host some tenants that use multi geo. I am curious if there is any update on resolving the multi geo backup issue. I see there are still limitations as described at https://www.veeam.com/kb3098.

v6 will bring enhanced multi-geo support, so I would check what changes after it's release.

I can confirm that it will be supported and as of now (we are doing our final round of intensive testing) those limitations will be gone
