One-way trust to proxy server VBO365

Post by Njaal »

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to use a one way AD trust when configuring a proxy server in VBO365 or if it has to be a two-way trust?

I am refering to this section in the user manual:

NOTE:
Backup proxy servers and the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 server must be deployed within the
same or a trusted domain.

I must apologize for my lack of knowledge on the subject.

Kind regards
Njaal

Hi Njaal,

No apologies needed. In fact, I don't know that answer either. I will need to ask our QC team. this might take a while (holidays and stuff) and I doubt they have tested this scenario so we will probably need to test when cycles are available.

Once I know something, I will get back to you

This should be a two-way trust, in fact, as proxy and server communicate to each other in both ways.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick replies!
That explains why I was experiencing issues with a one-way trust.

Kind regards
