Hi,
Is there a way to only back-up the mailboxes of a MS tenant. Only the user and shared mailboxes.

Erwin

Re: Only back-up user accounts and sharedmailboxes
Hi Erwin,
You can add the organization and select the option to only process Mail + Archive.
But this will also protect other mailboxes, such as Resource Mailboxes or M365 groups, although they typically shouldn't contain too much data.
If you need to filter more granularly, then I suggest to look into dynamic groups with filters on M365 and then add this group to the backup job as a source.

Best,
Fabian

Re: Only back-up user accounts and sharedmailboxes
Hi Fabian,
That option i had found but the challange is the following:
We have a customer that with the option from above has around 3000 mail objects. In reality the customer only has 116 mailboxes (users/shared) in de exchange admin panel.
So there a lot of other mail items, i have take a look at the dynamic group. Only challange there i to find the correct syntax to get only the 116 mailboxes. Al that i have tried at this moment is more than the 116 mailboxes.
Regards,
Erwin
