Personal onedrive backup feature request

Post by timpzz »

Hi

VB365 getting a 500 or 404 error on a site that also returns a 404 error when browsed manually is expected behavior.
This means that if a personal site is deleted, it can sometimes happen that veeam365 still tries to back up the site even though the given OneDrive site gives an error code. Currently, all such sites have to be manually excluded. Is it possible to make an automatic system that automatically excludes the personal site from backup in case of this error code?

There is currently a case where the user was deleted more than half a year ago, but the given URL still exists and therefore the given site must also be on the excluded list. We also have no retention policy.

Hi T,

The flow is actually different -- Veeam tries to access a site to back it up -> receives an error -> stops backup attempts and returns you the error.

VB365 cannot know if the link/OneDrive/site is not accessible for a valid reason or because of some problem/misconfiguration on the customer's side. Though, in the future, we'll probably add some logic to make it configurable via some setting.

Understandable. I currently added sites to the exclude list to avoid daily email notifications about backup errors.
