Q: backup existing veeam backup and start fresh

Post by Symbiot78 »

Hi

can I some how export my running backup to external disk.
Then start my backup from scratch
I need to free up space and a fresh start seems appropriate..

but I still want the possibility to go back and get emails etc.

can this be done somehow?

optimal would be:

1. export my backup folder to external drive
2. remove all existing backup from server
3. start backup from scratch.

@Symbiot78

What type of repository are you using?

So I assume you are using a Jet DB repository. That means your repository exists out of a folder and a couple of ADB files (and some log files and so on...).

Yes, it is possible as you can point a Veeam explorer for Exchange / SharePoint / Teams / OneDrive to those files and open them and see the data
